Bacon Yummies for your dog
6 pieces of raw bacon
1 egg
2 cups of whole wheat flour
1/2 cup of water
1/3 cup of vegetable oil
additional meat if desired
Directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees and cut bacon pieces into small bits.
Mix the bacon and the ingrdients in a large bowl.
Mix until a smooth mush texture and then put teasponn sized amounts on a cooking sheet.
Bake until brown.
Let cool for about 3-5 minutes. Then watch your loveable dog gobble them up!
Bacon-Flavored Dog Biscuits for pets
10 tablespoons melted bacon fat1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
2 large eggs
1/4 teaspoon onion or garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
Mix all ingredients well. Pinch off pieces of the dough and roll them into 2-inch
balls and place on a well-greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Beagle Bagels for pets
1/2 cup whole wheat flour1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped spinach
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
3/4 cup water
In a large mixing bowl whisk together the first 5 ingredients. Stir in the carrots and spinach.
Combine the egg, oil and water together and add to the flour mixture, mixing well.
Turn dough out onto a floured work surface and knead for 3 to 5 minutes.
Shape pieces of dough into 1 1/2-inch sized balls. Flatten, then poke hole in center, forming bagel-like shapes.
Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
Bulldog Banana Bites for pets
1/2 cup nonfat dry milk1 large egg
1/3 cup mashed ripe banana
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 beef bouillon cube dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Mix all ingredients until will blended.
Knead for 2 minutes on a floured surface. Roll to 1/4-inch thickness.
Use a 2 1/2-inch bone-shaped cookie cutter (or any one you prefer) and place on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 300*F (150*C) for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Cheddar Cheese Dog Cookies
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese1/2 cup margarine
1 large egg
1 garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups wheat germ
Pinch of salt
2 tablespoons milk
Cream the cheese and margarine together using an electric mixer.
Add the egg and garlic, beating mixture well. Stir in the flour, wheat germ, salt and milk, mixing well.
Cover and chill dough for 1 hour.
Roll dough out onto a floured work surface to 1/4-inch thick. Cut into desired shapes.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375*F (190*C) for 15 to 18 minutes.
Cheese and Garlic Dog Bites
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1/2 cup milk
Mix flour and cheese together. Add garlic powder and butter.
Slowly add milk until a stiff dough forms (you may not need all of the milk).
Knead dough on floured work surface for a few minutes. Roll out to 1/4-inch thickness.
Cut into desired shapes and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 15 minutes. Let cool in oven with the door slightly open until cold and firm.
Store in the refrigerator
Cheesy Bone Cookies for pets
2 cups all-purpose flour1 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or other mild cheese)
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 tablespoons water
Turn out onto a floured work surface and knead for 3 to 5 minutes. Roll dough to 1/2-inch
thickness and cut into bone or other desired shapes.
Bake at 400*F (205*C) for 10 to 15 minutes or until bottoms of cookies are nicely browned.
Cool completely on wire racks.
Cheesy Garlic Chunks for Dogs
1/4 cup margarine, softened1 to 2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Milk
Cream the cheese, margarine and garlic together using an electric mixer. Add the flour and mix thoroughly.
Slowly add enough milk to form a stiff dough.
Shape dough into a ball, cover, and chill for 30 minutes or more.
Roll dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes.
Bake at 375*F (190*C) for 15 minutes or until lightly golden brown and firm. Cool on wire rack.
Dog Oil Supplement
1/4 cup canola oil1/4 cup cod liver oil
1/4 cup flax seed oil
Combine all ingredients together in a tightly covered jar/bottle or other container and shake well. Store in refrigerator.
To use, add one to two teaspoons daily to your dog's wet and/or dry food.
Note: Safflower and sunflower oil may used as well.
Dog Treats
2 jars meat baby foodCombine the wheat germ and baby food to form a dough.
Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on a baking sheet and flatten each with a fork.
Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Fido's Favorite Treats for pets
Store in the refrigerator or in the freezer as these can go moldy if left at room temperature for very long.1 cup oatmeal
1/3 cup margarine or butter
1 cup boiling water
3/4 cup cornmeal
1 tbsp sugar
3 tsp meat broth
1/2 cup milk (cow or goats milk)
4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese ( 1 cup)
1 egg, beaten
2 cups white or wheat flour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.Grease cookie sheets. In large bowl combine
rolled oats, margarine and water; let stand for 10 minutes.
Stir in cornmeal, sugar, Broth, milk,cheese and egg. Mix well. Add
flour 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition to form stiff dough.
On floured surface, knead in remaining flour until dough is smooth and no longer
sticky, 3 to 4 minutes. Roll or pat out dough to 1/2 inch thickness;
cut with cookie cutter. Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheets.
Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.
Store loosely covered. Makes 3 1/2 dozen large biscuits.
Cat's Finicky Feline Diet
1/2 cup cooked rice1/2 cup chopped broccoli, cooked until tender
1/4 cup chopped carrot, cooked until tender
Chicken broth
Process all ingredients in a food processor or blender with enough chicken broth to hold together.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
"Good Dog" Treats
1/2 cup powdered milk1 egg, well beaten
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 1/2 tsp brown sugar
1/2 cup water
6 tblsp gravy
Baby food meat
Mix all ingredients well. Roll out on a floured board about 1/2" thick. Cut out cookie shapes with floured cutters.
Bake at 350F for 25-30 minutes. Cool, maybe leaving them in the oven to dry.
Cookies should be hard. Store in an airtight container.
Gotta Have Sole for pets
2 tablespoons parsley, choppedWater
1 tablespoon margarine
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons chopped liver
1/2 teaspoon iodized salt
2/3 cup cooked rice
Place sole in a small, greased baking dish. Sprinkle with the parsley. Add enough water to just
cover the bottom of the dish. Bake in a preheated 450*F (230*C) oven for 10 minutes.
Cool then and shred with a fork.
Melt margarine in a small saucepan. Stir in flour and heat until bubbly. Gradually stir in milk and cook,
stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and add cheese, liver, and salt,
stirring until cheese has melted.
Add the flaked fish and rice to cheese sauce and stir well. Cool. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Kitty Heaven for cats
2 cans sardines packed in oil2/3 cup cooked rice
2 chicken livers, cooked in water and drained
1/4 cup chopped parsley
Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and process just until mixture is blended.
Store in refrigerator, tightly covered.
Kitty Oatmeal
Second step for kittens. Nutrition they need for growing. It is a soft food.Whiskas Catmilk Plus or Non-lactose milk because most cats are lactose intolorant.
Take a pot and simmer the milk(not boil!) or micowave for a min.
Use a bowl and put 5-10 table spoons (depending on bowl) of regluar oats.
Put small amounts of milk in the bowl so it's not too much or too little.
If too much add more oats. It should be thick but sogyy.
Take a butter knife and cut the oats until they are very small but big enough to see.
Stir until mixed completly! It should be kind of runny and thick.
Feed twice a day!
Liver Treats for pets
1 pound chicken livers2 large eggs
2 tablespoons molasses
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Puree first 3 ingredients in a food processor. Add remaining ingredients, blending well.
Pour mixture into a well-greased 9 x 9-inch baking pan
Bake at 400*F (205*C) for 25 to 30 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
Cool and cut into bite-sized pieces. Store in refrigerator.
Liver-Flavored Dog Biscuits
2 1/4 cups whole wheat flour1 large egg
1/2 cup non fat dry milk powder
1 beef bullion cube dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 cup liver powder
Mix all ingredients together well.
On a floured work surface, roll dough out to 1/4-inch thick.
Cut into desired shapes. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 300*F (150*C) for 30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Mackerel Cat Munchies
1/2 cup canned mackerel, drained1 cup whole-grain bread crumbs
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon Brewer's yeast, optional
In a medium-sized bowl, mash the mackerel with a fork into tiny pieces.
Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
Drop mixture by 1/4 teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 8 minutes. Cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Meaty Doggy Treats
Good for dogs only!6 ounces lean ground beef
7 teaspoons wheat germ
3 teaspoons NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Nonfat Dry Milk
1/2 teaspoon oil
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a 12-inch skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until no reddish-pink is showing; drain.
Using a food processor grind meat until fine.
Combine ground beef, wheat germ, powdered milk and oil in a bowl. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a
greased cookie sheet. Press flat. Bake 20 minutes or until light brown. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.
Makes 24.
Microwave Dog Donuts
2 cups whole wheat flour2/3 cup beef or chicken broth
1 large egg, lightly beaten
3 tablespoons quick oats
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Whisk the egg and broth together and add to the flour. Blend in oats and garlic powder.
Form the dough into a ball.
On a floured work surface, roll dough out to 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut out "donuts" and arrange on a shallow baking dish in a single layer.
(Repeat cooking process as space requires, do not crowd the "donuts".)
Microwave on HIGH for 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
Oatzy Bizkits for pets
1 1/2 cups warm water1 cup oats
1/3 cups margarine
1 teaspoon base or bouillon granules (any flavor)
3/4 cup powdered milk
3/4 cup cornmeal
1 large egg, beaten
3 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
In large mixing bowl, pour hot water over the oats, margarine and base. Let stand for 5 minutes.
Stir in powdered milk, cornmeal and egg. Slowly stir in the flour, to form a stiff dough (adding more flour if needed).
Turn dough out onto a floured work surface and knead 3 to 5 minutes.
Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes and place on a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 325*F (160*C) for 50 minutes.
Cool completely and allow to dry thoroughly before storing.
Cat's Tuna Kitty Treats
1/2 cup whole wheat flour1/2 cup nonfat powdered milk
1/2 can tuna, in oil or 1/2 cup cooked chicken, chopped into small pieces
1 tablespoon vegetable or cod liver oil
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup water
In large bowl, mash the tuna (or chicken). Add the flour and powdered milk, mixing well.
Stir in the water, oil and egg, mixing well. Mixture will be sticky.
Shape mixture into 1/2-inch sized balls. Place on greased baking sheets. Press balls to flatten.
Bake at 350*F (175*C) for 10 minutes. Remove treats from oven; let sit 5 minutes and then turn treats
over and bake another 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on wire rack.
Store in an air tight container in refrigerator.
