Plus Size Lingerie - Sexy Lingerie for Queen Size Women

Plus size lingerie, queen size lingerie or big beautiful women lingerie are all terms used to describe lingerie for full figured, voluptuous women.

Fortunately women can choose to purchase sexy lingerie made specifically for the plus size or queen size woman who knows the value of sexy lingerie in her relationship or marriage.

While improvements have been made in making and merchandising sexy plus size lingerie I am afraid to say there is still a very long way to go towards satisfying the ever growing need for well made, sexy and desirable lingerie for women who are real women with real curves.

We don't need to rehash the argument surrounding why there isn't more and better sexy lingerie for the curvaceous woman.

Many, but not all makers of lingerie for missy sizes still do not make lingerie for women with breasts, hips and curvy bottoms.

Curvy women are a market that will continue to grow and be underserved for the foreseeable future.

It seems as though women who wear sizes 14, 16, 18 and up do not want or need sexy, suggestive and provocative lingerie.

This is of course far from the truth. Women of all sizes, shapes, colors and backgrounds desire the same lingerie that all other women crave.

The only question is when will manufacturers cater to this market?

In some ways plus size or queen size women are treated as second class citizens in the lingerie store or site.

Granted there are some lingerie stores and websites such as Hips and Curves that get it and offer a good selection of sexy lingerie for sexy plus size women but the problem is more with the manufacturers than with the retailers.

Some argue that it is the chicken or the egg and the argument continues to swirl.

If plus size women only purchased more lingerie then many manufacturers would produce more plus size product.

Many women though argue that if there were greated selection, in styles that weren't just larger versions of the manufacturers missy selection then they would surely buy more sexy lingerie.

Perhaps both are right in that production follows demand in most industries and lingerie is not an exception.

Whoever is right one thing is for certain there is a gap between the demand and the supply of sexy lingerie at the present time.

Reasons abound as to why and there is no real villian in this matter but there is a lack of quality, sexy, exotic lingerie for curvy women.

In time the supply will catch up with the demand but most all retailers know that women in the industrialized west are taller, heavier, bustier and even sexier than 10-15 years ago.

Due to diet, genetics or whatever the reasons size 14 is the most popular size in clothing for the first time in the U.S. Isn't this reason enough to increased supply of sexy lingerie for those gorgeous, sensual, hot and horny women who are often referred to as plus size?

For many women, past experiences in trying to find the right bra size have meant hunting down a tape measure and measuring themselves - taking over and under bust measurements, adding or subtracting another number, working out the difference between two other numbers and then, hey presto, ending up with a bra size.

Lingerie stores' years of experience of working with you to find your perfectly fitting bra means they believe that tape measures don't help when it comes to finding a bra that fits properly. Every woman's boobs vary in volume, shape, size and spacing and these are all factors in getting the right size. The volume of your boobs may be more at the bottom, sides or top, and this will affect the size you need to ensure you look great and feel comfortable. If you take a number of women with identical over and under bust measurements, our experience shows the bras that actually fit them may all be different sizes.

This is why we suggest you forget about measuring yourself and concentrate instead on how your bra looks and feels. You may find trying a bra on in front of a mirror helps you to really see which areas are right and which may need some adjusting.

Getting the perfect fit

The strap should be firm around your body
The strap around your body should be firm but comfortable. Most of the support actually comes from around the back so if this is too big the bra will not support you.

The strap should be horizontal at the back
When you stand side on at a mirror, the strap that runs around your body should be horizontal and should not ride up at the back at all.

You can run two fingers under the band
You should be able to comfortably get two fingers underneath the band of the bra all around and also at the sides of the bra underneath the arms.

Flat wires at the front
The wires at the front should lie flat against your rib cage and should not dig in, rub or poke out at the front.

About "Wires" you should remember that it's always better to avoid the bras that have wires as supporting. These wires apparently are causing or conducting to some illness such as cancer. Not confirmed yet, but, if you can avoid them, just do it.

Your boobs should be enclosed in the cup with no wrinkling of fabric
Your boobs should be enclosed in the cup and you should have a smooth line where the fabric at the top of the cup ends and meets your bust. When you lift your arms, your boobs should remain enclosed in the cup.

Your boobs don't bulge over top or side of the cups (even in a balconette or plunge bra)
You shouldn't have any ridge or bulging over the top or sides of the cups, even if you are wearing a lower cut style bra.
